I finally finished printing my series of bird cards. I did three variations, chartreuse, papaya, and finally curry. This little bird is mum and will say whatever the sender would like him to say. I still have to round the corners, which is time consuming and has to be done in small batches to avoid carpel tunnel. I was lucky with my chrysanthemum cards; my mom really helped me out a few weeks ago when she punched out all 800 corners for me while watching the Olympics (thanks mom!).
And since it was such a long, great weekend, I was also able to print a new design. Here is a sneak peek. I don't know when I will get it into my shop, but hopefully it will be soon. It was inspired by some Interpol lyrics. I just liked the phrase and I made use of some of my mother-in-law's lace for the heart.
I still have new designs I would like to print before the craft fair in a few weeks, and I need to get everything sorted out and packaged too. I also need to think about my table display, what to do if it is windy, and all the other little details.
Time has decided for me that I will not be printing any holiday cards yet. I just don't see it happening unless they decide at work that I should just stay home and craft and they will continue to pay me. Not likely. I’m also going to Chattanooga next week! I'm very excited, I will be sure to share the sights with you while I am there.
you do but you don't but you might?
